We use only 100% pure soy wax made from soybeans grown in the midwest US! 

Soy wax is clean. It is safe to breathe in, because it doesn’t include things like petroleum, which is in a lot of other candles! Soy produces less soot than paraffin wax and is water soluble, so it’s a cinch to clean up! It also costs quite a bit less than beeswax, which helps keep the cost of our candles down!

We use high quality phthalate free fragrance AND essential oils. Using only essential oils is WAY more costly and hard to achieve a good, strong smelling candle. We would LOVE to use all pure essential oils someday and we do occasionally create lines where the candles are made that way.

We use only cotton and/or paper wicks - all lead free. Legally all
wicks have to be lead free as of 2003 but wicks used to contain lead!

The X on our candles is a little spin from the beautiful aesthetics of the European apothecary stores.

We do that for your safety! If the candle burned all the way to the
bottom, it would become too hot for the surface and we don’t want that!
We use specific wicks that allow a little room at the bottom to keep you
and your family safe!

The Winter Market on O. Street will
take place Saturday, December 2nd from 11:00am-5:00pm in the Lincoln
Haymarket, under the O. Street bridge.

Food vendors must provide appropriate food permits. 

Set-up and tear down will take place outside of event hours. Accepted
vendors will receive specific times and instructions at a later time. 

Each accepted vendor will receive 2 free passes into the event. Vendors will receive lanyard badges to be worn at all times. 

Booth sharing is not permitted at this time. One vendor per each booth space, please. 

Wax Buffalo's Winter Market on O Street is an experience for all ages. Last December (in the very first year of the event!) we welcomed more than 4,000 humans to the streets of the Haymarket–brimming with holiday cheer, magical memories, and local makers.  This year, we’re already gearing up with even bigger and better dreams.  

The show will go on rain, snow, or shine!

Reservations are made in one hour increments; however, the candle-pouring process takes between 35 to 45 minutes.

Our Candle Lab experience is $38 and covers all aspects of the candle-pouring process. From choosing your vessel and scent to pouring the candle, it’s all included! 

Please request a cancellation at
least 24 hours in advance in order to receive a refund. For reservation
changes or cancellation requests, contact katie@waxbuffalo.com. 

Outside food is totally welcome when you make a private reservation; however, we are unable to allow outside food during standard online reservations or walk-in visits. To make a private reservation, feel free to reach out to katie@waxbuffalo.com. 

Absolutely! From bottles of bubby to
our curated selection of beer, wine  and cocktails, we have a drink for
everyone. Enjoy a drink (or two!) while you make your candle
masterpiece. Feel free to browse our menu before you pop in! 

No, our liquor license does not allow
outside alcoholic beverages. We’ve got you covered, though! Choose from our curated selection of wines, beers/cider, bubbly, non-alcoholic
beverages and more! Take a peek at our drink menu. 

Reservations are not required–you’re
always welcome to walk-in for a visit; however, we cannot guarantee
availability without a reservation. Making an online reservation is the best way to ensure that you get your buns in the Candle Lab! 

You know us, we love a good party or celebration! Join us for a birthday, bachelorette party, work event, or whatever has you getting together. We'd love to help you plan the perfect event. Just reach out to Katie Henning at katie@waxbuffalo.com for more details. 

Our Haymarket location can accommodate up to 12 guests at a time. It’s perfect for a smaller, more intimate event! 

Our Prescott location can accommodate over 30 guests per hour. Ideal for larger events, parties, or celebrations. 

Your Candle Lab creation is uniquely yours, thus completed Candle Lab candles are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

The Candle Lab is an experience that humans of all ages will enjoy! Please note that guests under 16 years of age must have an adult present for the duration of the Candle Lab experience.

You are welcome to bring in a used
Wax Buffalo vessel to be re-poured. Please note that in order to refill,
the vessel must be completely cleaned out! You can also purchase at-home refill kits and enjoy the process of refilling your candle in the comfort of your own home! Because our vessels and jars go through significant testing
prior to use, we are not able to refill non-Wax Buffalo vessels. 

We get it–life happens! If you need to make any changes or cancel your reservation, please reach out to katie@waxbuffalo.com. 

Candles will be ready for pick-up 2 hours after being poured, as they take a bit to cure. Feel free to enjoy one of our neighboring shops, restaurants, bars, bakeries and coffee shops while you wait! We will hold Candle Lab candles for 30 days.

Yes! Online reservations are made for one candle each, but if you decide to pour multiple candles, just let us know when you’re in-shop!

Absolutely! We offer domestic
shipping for a flat rate of $7.95. We will safely package and ship your
candle (and any other purchases!), no problem!
